One of my favorite parts of fall is Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte, I wait all year for them to become available! But, my personal rule is one per season.  Between the $4 per small latte price tag and a million calories per serving, that’s all I can afford!

So, when I ran into this recipe online, I couldn’t wait to try it out.  My mom and I enjoyed our own pumpkin spice latte last weekend along with an amazing pumpkin french toast casserole…and no lie, it was even better than Starbucks!

[ingredients title=”Ingredients”]

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup hot, strongly brewed coffee

[directions title=”Directions”]

  1. Stir pumpkin pie spice into agave nectar until completely blended. Set aside.
  2. Pour the cold milk into a microwave-safe bowl and whisk vigorously for 2-3 minutes or until frothy.
  3. Microwave milk on high for 10 seconds.
  4. Pour the hot coffee into a mug and stir the agave-spice mixture until completely dissolved.  Top with the hot milk and add a dash of pumpkin pie spice.  Whipped cream is not a bad option here either 😉  Serve immediately.
  5. Enjoy!
