I pretty much stumbled upon this gem, as it’s hidden on a little side street off of Ventura in Woodland Hills.  I always saw the elevated Leo & Lily ( sign as I drove by, but never gave it much of a second thought.

Leo and Lily

However, one fateful day I was picking my mom up from the shop where she dropped her car off for some repairs.  And we were both thirsty…and hungry.  Where to go? Leo and Lily’s of course!

Their website boasts of healthy European/Mediterranean dishes made from scratch with fresh, locally grown ingredients.

We started with ice tea – me, and Arnold Palmer, Mom – an Amanda Palmer (some sort of berry-infused ice-tea mixed with lemonade).  I had never heard of an Amanda Palmer, but I have been craving one ever since!

Leo and Lily

Mom and I shared a dinner salad, it was simple and delicious.  Matt had the Leo’s club.  I usually don’t care for club sandwiches, but I stole a bite and it was awesome!

I am definitely planning to come back and sample the rest of the menu, especially their Leo and Lily breakfast menu!

The only cons: horrible parking (although they do have a valet lot), and a staff member trying to fix their car while we tried to enjoy our meal out on the patio.  We had to relocate inside to escape the exhaust! Hopefully next time we can enjoy a nice meal out in the sun without being disturbed by toxic fumes.

Update:  Mom and I were out shopping the other day and were trying to figure out where to stop for lunch.  Why, Leo and Lily of course! I just needed to re-cofirm my previous blog and say…service was excellent, like, super excellent.  Food was, once again, so delicious.  As for parking, we had to valet.  If you decide to visit Leo and Lily any time around the lunch or dinner hour, just plan on valet…parking is the only minus this restaurant gets!
