Matt and I had a ton of champagne left from our wedding, and so I decided to do something fun with it!

We’re not big champagne drinkers, and have had way too many mimosas trying to drink down our champagne stash, so a fruit salad champagne treat sounded like a delicious way to mix it up.

Most recipes that I found called for all kinds of crazy things, like fruit purees, gin, beer, you name it! But I wanted to keep it simple…

So, I gathered up all the fruit I had on hand, and dusted it with finely ground sugar.  I added it to the champagne with a little bit of simple syrup, and voila!, an amazingly yummy champagne fruit salad!

Champagne Fruit Salad

Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 4 glasses


1 bottle of champagne

2 cups fruit, cut up (I used blueberries, strawberries, and peaches)

1 tbsp finely ground sugar

¼ cup simple syrup


1.  Dust Fruit with sugar

2.  Place fruit in bowl and cover with simple syrup.

3.  Spoon fruit and 1 tablespoon syrup into each of the champagne glasses.    Top off with champagne and garnish with slice of fruit if desired.

4. Enjoy!
