Chocolate Ganache Cookie Cups - www.FoodieAnonymous.com

This was my first year participating in the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap.  It was so much fun and I received some super amazing cookies!

It took me a while to figure out what kind of cookies I was going to bake up for this event.  There were lots of things to think about.  I wanted to make a cookie that pretty much anyone could enjoy…who doesn’t enjoy chocolate?  I needed something that would stay intact while shipped across the country…so dainty cookies wouldn’t cut it.  I also wanted something that was a little different from your average holiday cookie – so I gingerbread men or peppermint cookies off the list.   (more…)

Fajita Quesadilla

There is no going wrong with Mexican food.  Ever.  I am a Southern California girl, born and raised.  And there is no other place in there world where you can get better Mexican food than here in SoCal.  Well, other than Mexico of course. (more…)

Tortilla Egg Pie

We’re not really big breakfast eaters.  On weekdays, we usually subsist on a basic fruit smoothie, or if the pantry is stocked, a delicious bowl of cereal – my favorite is granola or cheerios! But I like to try to make something fun for breakfast at least one day a week. (more…)

Salsa Verde Enchilada Cups

I started my new job today. And by started, I mean I sat in a conference room and listened to people talk at me about rules, regulations, benefits, ect. It was soooo boring! So, instead of listening about how to smile and provide good customer service, I was daydreaming about what I would make for dinner. (more…)

Loaded Grilled Cheese

I don’t know about you, but grilled cheese is one of my favorite lazy night meals.  But, bread, cheesy, buttery filled meals aren’t always the healthiest.  So, instead of ditching the grilled cheese all together, why don’t you add some yummy greens?  The spinach and caramelized onion add amazing flavor to this loaded grilled cheese, while the avocado, and cheddar and gruyere cheeses add a creamy gooey center. Pita Chips

We eat a lot of pita chips in my household.  We either snack on them with hummus, or simply eat them alone as a quick snack.  When you make these incredibly delicious, fresh pita chips, whip up a quick batch of basil hummus to dip them in.  I promise you will not regret it! (more…)

Basil Hummus

I had never tried hummus until it was introduced to me by a friend in college.  Since then, I haven’t made one trip to Trader Joe’s without buying a tub of it.  Its perfect to eat with anything – as a spread on sandwiches, with veggies or pita chips, the list goes on… (more…)

Oatmeal Carrot Butterscotch Cookies

Sometimes I crave really sweet, really chocolate-y cookies.  And other times the sweet tooth is not so strong, and I want something a little more “healthy”.  I love these Oatmeal Carrot Butterscotch cookies because they are the perfect amount of sweet (which means that I can eat more of them!) (more…)
